Judging from the situation in various provinces and regions within the Palaearctic Boundary, the distribution of snakes varies greatly. The south of China belongs to the Oriental kingdom, where there are a large number of snakes, accounting for 88% of the total number of snakes in China, ***8 families, 58 genera 179 species and 26 subspecies. There are 8 families and 50 genera 1 19 species and 22 subspecies only distributed in this boundary, which is 5.4 times that of snakes only distributed in Palaearctic realm. According to three families, 33 genera, 60 species and 4 subspecies, which are widely distributed in Palaearctic realm and Oriental realm, red snake, king snake, white striped snake, jade spotted snake, red spotted snake, black-browed snake, green snake, tiger spotted neck-grooved snake, Chinese swimming snake, black-headed snake, zaocys dhumnades and bamboo leaf green are all distributed in more than 15 provinces and regions, among which red spotted snake is red. Judging from the situation of poisonous snakes, there is only one species of Viburnidae, which is only distributed in Ningxia, Xinjiang and Gansu in the Palaearctic realm. The other five genera 1 1 species 1 subspecies are all distributed in many provinces and regions in the oriental world except for the thin green snake and the purple sand snake in Tibet. There are 4 species of water snake, all of which are distributed in some provinces and regions in the oriental world. Sea snake 16 species, mainly distributed in the coastal provinces of the Oriental realm. In Liaoning Province, a coastal province of Palaearctic realm, there are half-ring flat-tailed sea snakes, green-ring sea snakes and sea bream. There are blue-gray sea snakes, green-ringed sea snakes, light-gray sea snakes, flat-headed sea snakes and long-snouted sea snakes in Shandong Province.
Both cobra and viper are terrestrial poisonous snakes, which do great harm to human beings, but also have important economic value. There are 23 species and 3 subspecies in the genus *** 13 of Cobra family. Except for the sea snake 16 species, in the Palaearctic realm, only Tibet has the striped snake, the Bengal cobra and the king cobra. These 26 species and subspecies are distributed in the Oriental world, among which the golden ring snake, silver ring snake, Fujian Li-striped snake, Zhou-shan cobra, Bengal cobra and King cobra are distributed in 3 ~14 provinces and regions, and they are important economic snakes in China.
There are 8 genera, 23 species and 8 subspecies of Agkistrodon, among which Taiwan Province Agkistrodon, Taiwan Province Zhuyeqing and Taiwan Province Mountain welding head are only found in Taiwan Province. Zhu Yeqing in Medog, welding head in Chayu and Zhu Yeqing in Tibet are only found in Tibet. The snow-capped mountains and plateaus are found in Yunnan; Grassland viper is found in Xinjiang; The snake island viper is only in the snake island of Liaoning; The borer is distributed in Xinjiang and Jilin; Welding head Mountain, Bambusa yunnanensis and Bambusa yunnanensis are distributed in Sichuan and Yunnan, and the distribution range is relatively narrow.
