2. Characteristics of Life Habits
Shrimp gobies are burrowing and live in near-shore waters, but can also be found at depths of up to 1,300 meters (about 4,300 feet). They often dig burrows on shallow sandy or muddy bottoms, which are often U-shaped. Both juveniles and adults are good swimmers. They are carnivorous, mostly preying on small invertebrates, and feeding on other crustaceans and small fish, coastal earthworms, and sandworms. This kind of animal body can be rubbed with the tail limbs of the caudal joints of the ventral surface or with the swept limbs to strike and sound.
