Clinical application
①Treatment of acute nephritis has a good effect, can shorten the course of the disease. According to dozens of cases of observation, after taking the drug usually within 1 to 5 days of urine is significantly increased, up to 1500-3000 ml per day. Then edema gradually disappears, hypertension and urinalysis changes also gradually improve and tend to normal. According to some case statistics, edema disappeared in an average of about 4 to 5 days or about 1 week; blood pressure returned to normal in 5 to 20 days, an average of 7 to 9 days; urinalysis changes in the average disappearance of time, from 11 days to 26.4 days ranging. Used in chronic nephritis also has diuretic swelling and a certain effect on lowering blood pressure. However, for ascites caused by liver disease and edema caused by heart failure, there is no diuretic effect or the effect is not significant. Therefore, it has been speculated that the effect of Radix et Rhizoma Cymbopogonis mainly lies in relieving glomerular vasospasm, thereby increasing renal blood flow and renal filtration rate and producing diuretic effect; at the same time, renal ischemia is improved, renin production is reduced, so that the blood pressure is returned to normal. Therefore, it is effective in acute nephritis, less effective in chronic nephritis, and ineffective in hepatic and cardiac edema. No adverse reactions have been observed except for some slight dizziness or nausea during the period of taking the medicine. Usage: Generally, half a catty of leucaena root (dried), washed and chopped, decocted in water, and taken 2 to 3 times daily. Take it for 1 to 2 weeks or until cured. It is also used in combination with artichoke, artichoke, raw earth or ephedra to form a compound formula. At the same time, bed rest, restriction of water and salt intake, warmth. If necessary, other drugs can be added to control complications and infected foci ② treatment of acute infectious hepatitis with leucaena root (dried) 2 two, decoction, twice a day. Treatment of 28 cases, the results of clinical cure (within 45 days, the main symptoms, signs disappeared, liver function returned to normal) 21 cases, improved (clinical symptoms improved, the values of liver function decreased by more than half within 45 days, or 45 days after the complete return to normal) 7 cases. After treatment, most of the main symptoms disappeared within 10 days, hepatosplenomegaly disappeared in about 20 days; 80% of the patients' gammaglutamylase decreased to normal after 45 days, and jaundice index turned to normal in 20.15 days on average. No side effects were seen. In addition, leucaena leucocephala has been used in the treatment of hypertension, together with the treatment of upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage with Senecio, both have certain effect.
