Beggar chicken, also known as Changshu beggar chicken and braised chicken, is a traditional famous dish in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province. Chicken is a special dish wrapped and baked with soil and lotus leaves.

The oven is preheated 170 degrees for middle and lower layers 1 hour, then it is set to 180 degrees for half an hour, and finally it is set to 190 degrees for another half an hour.
