In the national standard of aflatoxin limit in food, all kinds of food crops, such as wheat and corn, are listed, but tea is not among them. Does this mean that tea is not a drink with high risk to health? And is the fact really safe?
In our original cognition, tea contains tea polyphenols and other active ingredients, which will inhibit aflatoxin under certain conditions. We think that tea will not contain aflatoxin B 1, but what is it in reality?
On October 20th, 20201/kloc-0, we tested the "Xiaoqing Citrus" tea, and tested the original sample, brewed for 4 times and brewed for 8 times respectively. The test results showed that the aflatoxin content of "Xiaoqing Citrus" tea was amazing!
We tested the tea residue after four times of brewing and eight times of brewing respectively (sampled the tea after repeated brewing), and the test results are as follows:
After testing, the content of aflatoxin B 1 in "Xiaoqinggan" tea was 52.97μg/kg.
The content of aflatoxin B 1 in "Xiaoqinggan" tea brewed for 4 times was 37.32μg/kg.
The content of aflatoxin B 1 in "Xiaoqinggan" tea brewed for 8 times was 29.68μg/kg.
The experimental data show that with the increase of brewing times, the content of aflatoxin B 1 in tea decreases, which means that the reduced aflatoxin B 1 is consumed with tea. If we drink it for a long time, it will greatly increase the risk of cancer, which is tantamount to chronic suicide.
Although the detection results of aflatoxin B 1 in "Xiaoqing Citrus" tea do not represent all tea products on the market, we should really pay attention to various new problems in tea, such as the high content of aflatoxin B 1. To formulate a set of scientific and effective detection methods for tea and tea products, timely supplement and improve the quality standards related to tea and tea products, and ensure the health of the people.
