On June 6th, 65438, the Ministry of Health announced the investigation results of important human parasitic diseases in China. The results showed that the infection rate of soil-borne nematodes, including ascaris lumbricoides, decreased from 84.4% in June, 5438+0992 (ranked third in China) to 35.85% now (ranked seventh in China). Angiostrongylus cantonensis lurking in shellfish, Paragonimus in crustacean crabs and Clonorchis sinensis (commonly known as Clonorchis sinensis) in fish-borne parasitic diseases are food-borne parasitic diseases that are easy to break out in Fujian Province. Experts remind: raw fish and shellfish should not be eaten raw.
Snails fried in restaurants found parasites.
Lin Jinxiang, deputy director of the Expert Advisory Committee on Parasitic Diseases of the Ministry of Health and deputy director of the Fujian Institute of Parasitic Diseases Prevention and Control, who participated in the survey, said that the recently completed national survey on human parasitic diseases was the second survey based on the first survey on human parasitic diseases from 1989 to 1992.
According to reports, with the diversification of people's diet, more people eat "raw fish" and the infection rate of food-borne parasites is also rising. Taking Clonorchis sinensis as an example, the infection rate increased from 0.23% more than ten years ago to 0.58%. In addition, the most common diseases are jaw nematodes, paragonimiasis, Angiostrongylus cantonensis and Taenia solium. The hosts of these parasites are dogs, cats, pigs, fish, snails and other creatures. If these foods are eaten raw or undercooked, parasites will be transmitted to humans.
Lin Jinxiang said that last year, the provincial CDC also conducted a sample survey from Fuzhou West Lake, Fuzhou Market, Minhou County and Lianjiang County. The results showed that the infection rates of Angiostrongylus cantonensis were 34.465438 0%, 34.65438 0%, 3.85% and 2.37% respectively. Lin Jinxiang also brought the fried snails from several restaurants back to the laboratory for testing. Results Angiostrongylus cantonensis still lived in it because of incomplete treatment.
Food-borne parasites harm human organs.
According to Lin Jinxiang, soil-borne parasites are generally parasitic in the human intestine and suck human nutrition; Food-borne parasites are parasitic in various organs of human body, which is very harmful to human body. For example, Clonorchis sinensis is parasitic in the human biliary tract, blocking the bile duct, which can seriously cause cirrhosis, ascites and cancer. Angiostrongylus cantonensis is mainly parasitic in the human brain, causing encephalitis and severe death. There are paragonimiasis parasitic in human lungs, causing lung swelling, lung cavity and so on. Food-borne parasites are frequent parasitic diseases in recent years, and clinicians don't know much about them, which often leads to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis.
