The significance of Xiaobuihu Decoction based on the syndrome and treatment of circular motion in ancient Chinese medicine

Recipe: 15g each of Bupleurum Huangling, summer ginger, ginseng and roasted grass; 30g jujube meat

< p>Clinical manifestations: Treat Shaoyang menstrual disease, alternation of cold and heat, bitter mouth, dizziness, deafness, dry throat, chest fullness, hypochondriac pain, silent loss of appetite, upset and vomiting. Pulse condition is weak and small.

The original prescription comes from Treatise on Febrile Diseases, and the specific provisions are in the appendix.

The syndrome differentiation of the six meridians in Treatise on Febrile Diseases are Taiyang Meridian, Yangming Meridian, Shaoyang Meridian, Taiyin Meridian, Shaoyin Meridian, and Jueyin Meridian.

The mainstream view in textbooks on Febrile Diseases is that syndromes of the Taiyang Meridian are superficial syndromes, and syndromes of the Taiyang Fu-organs are internal syndromes.

Ancient Chinese medicine of circular movement believes that the theory of febrile diseases can be understood as an orange, and the external syndrome is Yingwei external syndrome, just like orange peel, Taiyin Fu syndrome, Yangming Fu syndrome, Taiyin internal syndrome, Shaoyin syndrome The internal syndrome and Jueyin internal syndrome are orange petals, and the Shaoyang meridian syndrome is orange collaterals, neither on the outside nor on the inside, between half the outside and half inside.

This is a development of the theory of Febrile Diseases in circular movement ancient Chinese medicine.

There are three prescriptions for external evidence and five prescriptions for internal evidence. The specific prescriptions are discussed in the previous article. There are two prescriptions that are half external and half internal, namely Xiao Bupleurum Decoction and Da Bupleurum Decoction.

This article is dedicated to Xiaobuihu Decoction. Xiaochaihu Decoction is mainly used to reconcile Shaoyang. Reconciliation with Shaoyang means that one cannot release the outer surface and sweat, cannot warm the interior, and cannot attack the enemy, and can only adopt the method of reconciliation. The feeling of reconciliation means to reconcile.

The main clinical manifestations are some symptoms of the Shaoyang meridian. The Shaoyang meridian circulates on both sides of the body, so there will be swelling and pain in the flanks, headaches on both sides, and the Shaoyang gallbladder meridian, which is prone to oral cavity. Bitterness, dizziness, upset, vomiting, and inability to eat are described in scriptures as silent inability to eat. Pulse condition is weak and small.

Shaoyang syndrome also manifests as fever, aversion to cold, alternating cold and hot, and alternate cold and heat.

Use Xiaochaihu Decoction to relieve Shaoyang. Nowadays, the Chinese patent medicine Xiaobupleurum Granules can be used and the effect is quite good. This is the progress of modern society.

The Triple Burner Meridian of Hand Shaoyang and the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot Shaoyang. The Gallbladder Meridian runs from the head to the feet and mainly descends. The Triple Burner Meridian runs from the hand to the head and mainly ascends.

If the gallbladder meridian is disturbed, the triple energizer meridian will not rise and the gallbladder meridian will not descend. Therefore, Bupleurum is used to ascend the triple energizer meridian and Scutellaria baicalensis is used to descend the gallbladder meridian. When the triple burner meridian rises, the gallbladder meridian descends, and the circular motion returns to a circle, balance can be achieved.

Syndrome differentiation and treatment:

The Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian is located in Rongwei, between the internal organs. A disease caused by this meridian is the discord between yin and yang. If you are gloomy, you will feel aversion to cold, and if you are yang-yin, you will have fever. The depression is not resolved, so cold and heat come and go.

The gallbladder meridian does not descend, and the element fire rises and reverses, resulting in bitter mouth, deafness, dizziness, and dry throat.

The gallbladder meridian runs from the head to the feet, behind the ears, under the chest, around the stomach, and along the flanks. The gallbladder meridian does not descend, so chest fullness, hypochondriac pain, inability to eat, upset and vomiting.

The fire trap is weak, so the pulse is weak and small. Wood fire is stagnant, so the pulse is stringy and rapid.

Prescription:

In this prescription, Bupleurum root ascends the triple burner meridian downward, and Scutellaria baicalensis descends the gallbladder meridian upward and reverses. The gallbladder meridian must be reversed if it goes against the stomach meridian, and pinellia meridian and ginger will reverse the stomach meridian. If fire is in reverse, the Qi and body fluid in the body will be damaged. Ginger, jujube, zhicao, and ginseng replenish qi and produce body fluid.

When fire is in reverse, the viscera and yin are prone to move, so it is important to use supplements to prevent the viscera and yin from moving. In this disease, the upper part is inverse and the lower part is depressed, and the middle part is deficient. This method is used to raise the sunken part on one side and reduce the inverse part on the other hand, and tonify the middle part to regulate the rising and falling part. This is the method of reconciliation.

Appendix:
