Types and characteristics of rock tea
Rock tea is a semi-fermented tea produced in Wuyishan, Fujian, also known as "Wuyi Rock Tea" or "Ren Yan Tea". According to the production technology and quality characteristics, rock tea can be divided into several main varieties, such as Dahongpao, Shuijinlong, Tieguanyin, Bletilla striata, cinnamon and so on.

1. Dahongpao: produced on Wuyi Rock, the main peak of Wuyishan Scenic Area. The rocks are steep, the snow is persistent and the climate is cold. Tea tree grows in the crevices of rocks and is known as "the first rock tea in the world". Dahongpao has a mellow taste and a unique aroma, with the taste of honey and cinnamon.

2. Shuijinlong: Shuijinlong Peak produced in Paiyunyan, Wuyishan, with fresh quality, high aroma and golden and clear tea soup.

3. Tieguanyin: produced on the rock wall of Baihefeng in Wuyishan. Tieguanyin has a mellow taste, rich aroma and yellow soup color.

4. Baijiguan: produced in Baijiguan Rock, Wuyishan Scenic Area, with rich tea fragrance, sweet and refreshing.

5. Cinnamon: produced in Meiling, a tea area in Wuyishan, characterized by strong cinnamon and sweet taste.

Generally speaking, rock tea is one of the top ten famous teas in China with its high altitude, pure air, complex production technology, rich aroma and mellow taste.
