The five elements are found in the "Hongfan" in the "Shangshu", which includes the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, and the ancients believed that the material world is made up of these five elements from a philosophical point of view. From a philosophical point of view, the ancients believed that the material world was composed of these five elements.
The five elements are born together: gold begets water, water begets wood, wood begets fire, fire begets earth, and earth begets gold.
The five elements are opposites: gold grasps wood, wood grasps earth, earth grasps water, water grasps fire, and fire grasps gold.
Meaning of the five elements:
Jin begets water - because the Shaoyin's qi (gold qi) is warm and flowing, gold depends on water to be born, and pin wrought gold can be changed into water, so gold begets water.
Water begets wood - because water is warm and moist and makes trees grow, so water begets wood.
Wood begets fire - it is because wood is warm and fire is hidden in it, drilling wood and making fire, so wood begets fire.
Fire begets earth - it is because fire burns, so it is able to burn wood, and when wood is burned, it turns to ash, and ash is earth, so fire begets earth.
Earth begets gold--because gold needs to be hidden in the stone, clinging to the mountain, and born of the jinrun, gathering the earth to become a mountain, and there is a mountain must be born of the stone, so earth begets gold.
The meaning of the five elements: is due to the nature of heaven and earth
Crowd wins over widow, so water wins over fire; essence wins over firmness, so fire wins over gold; just wins over softness, so gold wins over wood; specialization wins over scattering, so wood wins over earth; real wins over virtual, so earth wins over water.

-First A Zi year = Currently, Chinese history is dated 841 BC, which was the year of Geng Shen. The year 837 BC was the year of the first jiazi.
