Chestnut flower is the flower of Castanea mollissima in FAGACEAE. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this product is slightly warm, slightly bitter and astringent, and has the functions of strengthening the spleen to stop diarrhea, resolving hard mass and reducing swelling, and is suitable for diarrhea and hematochezia.
There are nearly 10 varieties of chestnut in China, which are planted in most parts of the country except Tibet and Qinghai. Due to the differences between the north and south seasons and the east and west seasons in China, the flowering time of chestnuts is not exactly the same.
