The price of black truffles varies significantly depending on their origin and quality. The main origins are in Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces, where prices are relatively low and black truffles are generally sold in the market for around 200 to 500 RMB a catty. However, when considering the world's top truffle varieties, such as the white truffle from Alba, Italy, it is extremely expensive, with a kilo once being priced as high as $35,000 USD. Black truffles from Peligro, France are not to be underestimated either, with a starting price of over 500 dollars. In contrast, black truffles from Yunnan, such as the Yunnan Black Truffle, which is deep black in color and has hard scales, are priced at about five to six hundred yuan, which translates into a pound, or about 1,800 yuan per pound. When buying, the actual price still needs to be determined according to market conditions and quality.
