The Chihlin Western Restaurant is close to the French Chamber of Commerce (now the Tianjin Cultural Relics Bureau Building), and there are many French diners, many of whom are officials of the French Chamber of Commerce. One day, two disheveled French soldiers entered the restaurant. The most exquisite thing in western restaurants is gentleness and dignified manners. Seeing the appearance of two French soldiers, Fitti hurried to dissuade them. Unexpectedly, the French soldiers not only refused to listen, but also blamed and humiliated Fitty and the restaurant. Albert, who has always been upright, was so angry that he got into a fight with the French soldiers, which led to a group fight between all the French people who ate. Finally, officials in the French Concession ordered Chilin to move the restaurant out of the French Concession within three days, otherwise they would be forced out. In desperation, Albert had to go to Guanglu Cinema (now Tianjin Beijing Cinema) in the middle street of the German Concession and relocate to open a shop, but this time the shop area increased to 500 square meters and was named "Cheshire Restaurant".
Qishilin
Business is booming after the opening of the new site, the business has not been affected, but it has become more popular. In addition to frequent visits by expatriates and officials from all over the world, Tianjin's dignitaries are also particularly fond of Cheshire. On Yuan Shikai's 46th birthday, he packaged the whole restaurant. Albert arranged the venue according to western customs, which made the atmosphere noble and elegant and won Yuan Shikai's praise. Albert let all the people taste his specialty dishes, and then held out a hill-like multi-layer cake. The lighted candles flickered in the dining room, and the walls shone brightly. Such a beautiful cake, with layers of pyramids piled up, the bottom of the tower in Huang Cancan is carved with patterns, and the top of the tower is inlaid with a birthday word, surrounded by flowers made of cream, which makes people see things in a blur.
