I. Habit characteristics
Chaenomeles likes warmth, and can tolerate higher temperatures, and can grow normally above 20℃. The fruit development period requires a little lower temperature, and the root system will die when the ground temperature is below 5℃. Chaenomeles is suitable for fertile soil with good water retention. It is more tolerant to fertilizer and has strong ability to resist pests and diseases.
Second, the cultivation methods
Protected cultivation can be adopted. Intercropping and interplanting Chaenomeles with cucumber, kidney bean, tomato, pepper and other vegetables, using the time difference and spatial difference of growth and fruiting of Chaenomeles and intercropping vegetables, as well as the requirements of vegetables for nutrition, moisture, fertilizer, air and temperature, reasonably collocate to achieve the purpose of efficient three-dimensional cultivation.
Third, field management
After planting in a small arch shed, only water should be poured in the seedling stage, and no topdressing should be done when it is growing vigorously. Attention should be paid to ventilation and light during the day, and attention should be paid to antifreeze at night. The fingered citron seedlings planted in greenhouses are watered and fertilized at the same time with intercropping and interplanting vegetables.
