Step 1: Use a knife to make a cut at each of the left and right mouths of the mussels.

Step 3: Break open the mussel shell with your hand.
Step 4: Pick off the gills on both sides.
Step 5: Tear off the muddy gut on both sides.
Step 6: Cut the joint with a knife and the mussel's meat is removed.
Step 7: Put the mussel meat in water and clean the intestines.
Step 8: Tear off the black membrane.
Step 9: The mussels will be cleaned and organized.
