The White Jade Snail lays its eggs in burrows, laying about 150 eggs or so per clutch, and the eggs hatch after 8-15 days. The lifespan of a wild white jade snail is usually 5-6 years, and a captive-bred white jade snail usually only survives for 5-6 months, as it is sold and eaten when it grows up. The white jade snail is hermaphrodite, heterozygous fertilization, mostly mating at night, and in captivity, if the conditions are suitable, it can reproduce all year round.
