Growing period: 55 to 60 days.
Soybean sprouts: Depending on the temperature, it usually takes 8 to 10 days in winter and 5 to 6 days in summer, and in winter you can add heat to make the soybeans germinate faster.
Growth cycle: 1. planting period: generally in June, after corn planting and winter wheat harvest, if the weather changes so that corn planting is hindered, farmers will choose to switch to soybean.
2. Germination: This process generally begins after the soybean seed has absorbed water up to 50 percent of the seed's weight, and usually begins within one to two weeks after planting, depending on soil moisture, soil temperature and planting depth. If soil moisture is poor, it can
seriously affect seed germination, and farmers will wait until there is enough moisture to plant, or plant on dry soil and wait for rainfall to replant. 3. Early growth: About 25 days after soybean germination, the crop can reach a height of 6 to 8 inches. If soil moisture is low, soybean growth will be slow and nutrient uptake may be impaired due to shallow root systems. At about 25 days after germination, soybean seedlings are more vigorous than corn seedlings, and hot weather usually affects only the top half of the seedlings. Soybean roots grow faster at this stage.
4. The emergence period: Soybean open 0 to 6 branches. Generally about 40 days after germination, the buds of the top stem are more dense and begin to form flowers. This stage of soybean growth compensates for the effects of early germination or the effects of hailstorms. Soybean growth between germination (mid-June to late July) and flowering (mid- to late July) determines the number of flowers and ultimately the final soybean yield.
5. Flowering: occurs about 45 to 50 days after soybean germination. Flowering generally lasts about 30 days, making soybeans less sensitive to short-term weather changes than corn during pollination. Soybeans can reach a height of 17 to 22 inches at flowering, which is about 50 percent of their mature height.
6. Pod set: 55 to 60 days after germination, usually in late July to early August. If the weather is too high or drought conditions occur during flowering and podding may reduce the number of pods, the number of soybeans per pod or the weight of the soybeans, which will reduce the soybean acres, usually, the temperature in July on the final yield of soybeans have less impact, but in the late flowering and pods in the early stage (August) if there is an unusually high temperature, it will also affect the acres of crop yield.
