"A Kindred Spirit" is a Hong Kong TV series produced by the Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. and broadcast from 1995 to 1999. It is directed by Li Wenlong, Xu Yuan, Huang Weiming, and written by Chen Baohua and Lin Shaozhi. The main actors of the play include Li Siqi, Liu Dan, Xue Jiayan and Zeng Jiang.

The play tells a story based on a three-generation family, from which a series of stories of persistence, forgiveness, mutual love and sacrifice between people develop, which are sincere and touching.

Plot:

Li Biaobing (played by Liu Qingji), the owner of Sanduo Barbecue Shop, is enthusiastic and responsible for his family; Li Biaobing’s wife Liang Runshan (played by Li Siqi) is devoted to the family. No complaints, just hope that the family can live a happy and worry-free life.

The eldest son Li Tianfu (played by Jiang Zhiguang) is often dominated by his wife Chen Yongqin (played by So Yuhua). He is not devoted to the family and just gets by.

Although the second daughter Li Duohuan (played by Guo Keying) and the third daughter Li Duoxin (played by Guo Shaoyun) are twins, they have different personalities and different attitudes towards family affection.
