2. Laiyang is known as the hometown of pear, and the famous "Laiyang pear" at home and abroad refers to Laiyang pear. Laiyang pear is the best among pears, which is related to its growing environment. Laiyang has Qingshui River, Fushui River, Xianhe River, Moshui River and Bailong River. These five rivers meet at the mouth of Wulong River in Zhaowangzhuang Town. In ancient times, there used to be a big river here, but now it has silted up into a large oil sand. This fine sand soil is rich in humus, loose in soil, good in air permeability and strong in light reflection, and pear trees can fully carry out photosynthesis. This kind of sandy soil has the advantages of rapid temperature rise, rapid heat dissipation and large temperature difference between day and night. Sugar obtained by photosynthesis in pear trees during the day is not easy to consume at night. So the sugar content of Laiyang pear is 2% to 3% higher than that of ordinary pear. Its meat is tender, sweet, crisp, delicious and unique in flavor.
