Medicinal flowers, semi-shrubs, opposite leaves entire or sometimes pinnately divided, glabrous or covered with simple hairs or stellate hairs or only stellate hairs, covered with golden round sessile glands. Flowers are numerous, sessile or short-stalked, arranged in cymes and then form panicles. Calyx tubular in bell shape, more or less enlarged in fruit, densely with simple nodes and sometimes stellate hairs, with many golden yellow sessile circular glandular points, upper lip almost entire or with inconspicuous 3 teeth, and lower lip with 2 teeth.
