Seaweed, also known as striped nori, is an algal organism found in the sea. Fresh seaweed is usually purple or red in color and consists of a single layer or two layers of cells that form a membrane, which is leaf-shaped, heart-shaped, and strip-shaped. Seaweed has pseudoroot-like anchors on the lower part of the seaweed, which allow it to attach to rocks. The height of seaweed can reach 20-30 centimeters. The growth habit and distribution area of seaweed is mainly along the Jiangsu coast of China. Fresh seaweed is processed, roasted and flavored to become the delicious seaweed we commonly see.
