The autonomous banner is a unique ethnic autonomous area in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Hulunbuir Grassland starts from the western foot of the Greater Khingan Mountains in the east, borders the China-Mongolia and China-Russia borders in the west, starts from the southern boundary of Eshigen River in the north, and reaches the China-Mongolia border in the south. The Molidawa Daur Autonomous Banner was established on August 15, 1958. It is one of the three ethnic minority autonomous banners in the region. It is located in the easternmost part of Hulunbuir City, in the middle section of the eastern foothills of the Daxingan Mountains, and on the west bank of the Nenjiang River. The whole territory is 203.2 kilometers long from north to south and 125 kilometers long from east to west. It borders the Oroqen Autonomous Banner to the north, Arong Banner and Gannan County of Heilongjiang Province to the west and south, and faces Nehe City and Nenjiang County of Heilongjiang Province across the river to the east. Covering an area of ??approximately 11,000 square kilometers, it governs 17 towns, 220 administrative villages, and 13 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 320,000. There are 17 ethnic groups in the flag, the main ethnic group is the Daur ethnic group, with a population of 30,497, accounting for 9% of the total population. Mo Banner has a vast territory and rich resources. There are 6.89 million acres of cultivated land, 3.3 million acres of pasture, 3.42 million acres of forestland, 56 large and small rivers, a total surface water resource of 14.453 billion cubic meters, accounting for about 40% of the entire region, and a water energy reserve of 666,000 kilowatts. Mo Banner has unique cultural landscape and rich tourism resources. Mo Banner's annual soybean output exceeds 1.5 billion kilograms, ranking first in the country in terms of soybean output per county. In 2001, the Nilji Water Conservancy Project, a national key water conservancy project, started construction in Moqi, with a total investment of 5.4 billion yuan, a total designed installed capacity of 250,000 kilowatts, and an average annual power generation of 614 million kWh. , with comprehensive benefits such as flood control, irrigation, water supply, power generation, shipping, and environmental protection. The project will be completed in June this year. After the reservoir is filled with water, it will form a water surface of more than 500 square kilometers.
