Recently, some netizens posted on Weibo that they ate at a restaurant called "Yugang Aquatic Seafood Restaurant" in Laoshan District, Qingdao City, and were told by the taxi driver that the 70 yuan/jin of lobsters arrived at the checkout. The current price is 368 yuan/jin.
In response to this, the Qingdao Laoshan District Government Information Office responded through its official Weibo on July 28 that the restaurant had contacted netizens to provide refunds and to suspend operations for rectification.
On the evening of July 26, some netizens posted on Weibo saying that they encountered a "shady seafood restaurant" in Qingdao. "They were tricked by a taxi driver into going to a restaurant for dinner. On the way, they talked about how good the lobster was, but they didn't..." It was expensive, 70 yuan per catty. After ordering at the store, the final payment was told to be 368 per catty. They were afraid that we would call the price bureau and asked them to sign a settlement form they had reserved. At this time, two people gathered around. Don’t cause trouble, just sign and pay and leave immediately.”
At 11:20 on July 28, the Laoshan District Consumption Regulation Office announced that regarding the consumption problems reported by netizens at the fishing port aquatic seafood restaurant, the district consumption regulation will be implemented. The office took the lead in cooperating with the market supervision, commerce, price, transportation and other departments to promptly intervene in the investigation and understand that the restaurant has contacted netizens for refunds, and the regulatory authorities will further investigate and deal with the hotel and taxi drivers.
At 15:58 on July 28, the office reported again: On the afternoon of the 28th, the district consumption regulation office conducted a further joint inspection of the store in conjunction with the market supervision, commerce, price, food and drug departments. At present, the store has been closed for rectification. The Laoshan District Consumer Regulation Office will continue to strengthen consumer market supervision and inspection to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
I hope everyone will dare to defend their rights when encountering such a thing. At the same time, I also hope that similar things will never happen again!
