Jiashigua is named after its origin in Jiashi County. Jiashi is close to Taklimakan desert, and has suitable unique climate and water and soil conditions, so it has high sugar content. There are many kinds of Jiashi melons, and different kinds have different characteristics and maturity, especially the late-maturing varieties, which can be stored in winter and suitable for long-distance transportation. The heaviest one is 4 ~ 5 kg. Jiashi Gua enjoys a good reputation both inside and outside the region, and is called "King of Gua in China" and "Treasure of Western Regions".
pomegranate
