Things to note when traveling in Lijiang:
1. The ancient city. From the perspective of tourists or people who are not familiar with Lijiang, Lijiang Old Town is generally referred to as Dayan Ancient Town. In fact, Lijiang Old Town is composed of Dayan Ancient Town, Shuhe Ancient Town, and Baisha Ancient Town. Although these three ancient towns There is a certain distance between them, but they are all part of Lijiang Old Town. After understanding this concept, the understanding of the ancient city will be clear. As for the differences between these three ancient towns, in terms of popularity and scale, the rankings are Dayan, Shuhe, and Baisha. The greater the reputation, the greater the degree of development and commercialization. I saw some guides or travel notes saying that Shuhe was later built according to Dayan, which means that this person only walked a small area of ????the main gate (south gate) of Shuhe. In fact, the taste of Shuhe is older than Dayan. , the main gate is only a small part of the tourist transition zone that was newly built later. The stream running through the streets and alleys is crystal clear, which can only be seen in Shuhe. Most of the local people in Shuhe live in the North Gate area, so the best way to visit Shuhe is to take a taxi to Shuhe North Gate, or take bus No. 6 and get off at Shuhe Shangcun. Walk 100 meters to the North Gate entrance.
2. Inn. Lijiang Inn is not only the name of Lijiang B&B, but also a special element of Lijiang tourism and an extremely important part of the ancient city buildings. It is also a kind of local life culture. After more than ten years of evolution and improvement, inns have formed two major concentration areas, mainly Dayan Ancient Town and Shuhe Ancient Town. They range from small inns with a few rooms to large inns with 20 or 30 rooms and chain brand inns. No, it is basically run by outsiders. The room facilities and the overall facilities of the inn are second to none in the country. It is full of Lijiang Naxi characteristics and allows you to enjoy a lazy time. It can be said that it is a must-stay inn in Lijiang.
Three squares and one screen wall are the typical structural layout of Naxi folk houses. Flowers are planted in the small courtyard, and trees are planted in the large courtyard. Flowers and fruits are fragrant all year round. In some cases, water is diverted into the courtyard and stored into a pool with pavilions. It becomes an elegant scenery. Nowadays, most of the residences in the ancient town are built as inns. On the basis of retaining the local wood structure, they are also equipped with glass materials, which greatly improves the lighting in the room and makes the accommodation more comfortable. Zizaixiang Inn is a representative B&B with three lanes and one screen wall. The entrance is through the front yard and screen wall, with a hall in the middle and a large courtyard behind. There are small courtyards on both sides of the hall, forming a "three horizontal and three vertical" layout, and the sense of space is smooth. The multi-courtyard layout ensures that every room has excellent lighting and views, which is self-evidently beautiful.
The prices of inns range from 70 to 80 to tens of thousands. The main differences are in the following aspects: First, location. After all, every inch of land in the ancient city is precious. Secondly, scale, generally larger inns and larger rooms are slightly more expensive. Third, facilities, including public area and room facilities, must not underestimate small inns, some of which are even more luxurious than five-star hotels. For example, the layout, size, functions and supplies of the public area, whether the guest room has air conditioning or floor heating, the grade of furniture and electrical appliances, the grade of bedding and toiletries, differences in bathrooms, differences in soft furnishings, and some smart At a glance, if you look at two rooms that are almost the same, the decoration cost may differ by hundreds of thousands. Fourth, staffing, services and value-added services. If an inn has dedicated personnel for each position, the cost will definitely be high. If you add up the above differences, it is normal for the room rates to differ by tens of thousands.
The choice of what kind of inn is mostly based on your own preferences and spending power. If the price is within the acceptable range, you will then compare the location, service, evaluation, and facilities. The prices are quite different and there is no comparison at all.
4. Play. The ancient city maintenance fee is a fee levied by the Lijiang government from tourists to maintain the ancient city. It is 80 yuan per person and is valid for 7 days. It can be used in scenic spots such as Dayan Ancient Town, Mufu, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Black Dragon Pond, White Sand Murals, and Eternal Love. You must show the receipt for the ancient city maintenance fee when you arrive. If you don’t have it, you can just buy it on site.
In Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the glacier ropeway is sold in limited quantities every day. Starting from August 2015, real-name tickets are required to purchase tickets for the ropeway, so you will definitely not be able to buy tickets if you go late.
It is best to let the inn help you register in advance. The reason why tourists are not recommended to go on their own is that besides the possibility that they will not be able to buy tickets for the big ropeway, the other reason is that it is easy for drivers from outside sports cars to take them to Yulong Back Mountain to ride horses and spend a lot of money. I spent hundreds of dollars to ride a horse, but ended up not being able to see any of the scenic spots on the snow-capped mountains. It was too late to regret it. Don’t believe the one-day tours to the snowy mountains that cost more than 300 yuan. You won’t be able to do it without shopping.
Lashihai, Lijiang people love and fear it. What they love is its beautiful scenery, but what they fear is the local "high consumption".
If you listen to people saying that 10 yuan, 20 yuan, or 50 yuan will send you to Lashihai and back, then you should be prepared to spend at least a few hundred dollars per person. Generally, more reliable inns will remind you of this when they know you are going out for fun, but many people don't believe it, so there's nothing you can do.
The eternal love of Songcheng, this performing arts kingdom built by Huang Qiaoling, integrates entertainment, viewing and experience, you can check it out. There are 5,000 seats in the theater of "Eternal Love", some in the middle and some on both sides. There are three types of tickets per ticket: deluxe ticket (380 yuan, in the middle of the venue, only 15 seats); VIP ticket (280 yuan, the seat is in the middle, which is better. This is the main booking channel of the inn), VIP ticket (280 yuan, the seat is relatively biased, usually reserved for travel agency tour groups, and the profit margin is higher than the other two types) higher votes). Therefore, many people think that the tickets recommended by inns are more expensive than those from external travel agencies. This is the difference.
5. Food. Finally, let’s talk about food. There are some dishes that may not be authentic to Lijiang, but they have formed a large scale in Lijiang, so they are included here.
Lijiang Baba: I don’t know what it is anymore. Anyway, each family has its own recipe and taste, so forget it.
Chickpea jelly: jelly made from ground chickpeas. It is blue-grey in color. It is sold at some roadside stalls. It is fried in oil and can be eaten after being topped with jiao water and seasoning. It has no flavor per se.
Tofu wrapped in milk: It is not originally a traditional delicacy in Lijiang. However, the shop selling tofu wrapped in milk near the bar street in Shuhe Ancient Town is known as "China on the Bite of the Tongue", so people often line up to buy it there. But to be honest, it tastes really good.
Preserved pork ribs: Originated from the local custom of killing pigs for guests at the end of the year. After killing the pigs, the excess ribs are smeared with salt and hung to dry. They are then cooked when eating. There are one or two in Xiangshan Market. It's a nice place. Amala Pork Ribs in the South Gate of Dayan Ancient Town is always packed with customers, but the environment is just average.
Salmon: In fact, it is rainbow trout or golden trout sliced ??into sashimi or one fish and three meals. There are many restaurants on Huama Street. Personally, I prefer Tuojiang Fish House. The fish are ordered and cooked on the spot, and the environment is great. The taste is good and the price is moderate.
Wild mushrooms: It is best to eat fresh wild mushrooms in July, August and September, such as matsutake, truffles, morels, porcini mushrooms and chicken fir. In other seasons, they are basically made from dried products. The most famous one is Dian Bacteria King, which is located at the south gate of Dayan, and the price is not cheap.
Black Goat: There is a Black Goat street in Jinkai Plaza. It costs about 100 per pound. I don’t know which one is better.
Naxi Wedding Banquet: Very few restaurants do this anymore. You can only eat authentic food if you catch up with the locals holding wedding events.
