Honeycomb cake, or bee sinus, is a kind of cake spread in Malay Peninsula. Flour, sticky rice flour, eggs, coconut milk and sugar are used to make batter. Dip the batter into a cake mold full of beehives and fry it in hot oil. The finished product is similar to a large round petal with a honeycomb or geometric pattern, and it tastes thin and crisp.

Although the materials are simple and cheap, the manufacturing process is troublesome. It takes a long time for the hot oil to stand by. Shake the cake mold until the batter falls off, then turn each hole of the cake with chopsticks and put it into the hot oil. Coupled with the hot climate in Malaysia, the production process is very difficult, which leads to the fact that this kind of cake can usually only be seen in China Lunar New Year, Malay Eid al-Fitr or Indian Lantern Festival. Its appearance is similar to the "sugar ring" circulating in the south of China, but its making method is different.
