Tall, twining annual herb. Stems pubescent. The stipules are ovate-lanceolate; the small stipules are rectangular or linear. There are three compound leaves, the leaflets are broadly ovate to rhomboid-ovate, the leaflets on both sides are inclined, the top is acuminate to long acuminate, with a thin tip, the base is broadly wedge-shaped, round or truncate, and there are hairs on both sides along the veins. It is 4.5-16 cm long and 2.5-11 cm wide. The racemes are axillary, shorter than the leaves; the bracts are oval, with raised veins, and the bracteoles are oval, slightly longer than the calyx, with several raised veins; the flowers are white, yellow, purple, and red, 1.5 in length. ~2 cm; corolla butterfly-shaped, with truncated ears on the upper side of the wings and rudimentary ears on the lower side; stamens 2-bodied, ovary sessile, covered with white bristles, style curled, hairy, stigmas borne, tilt.
