Use and usage of Saussurea involucrata
Saussurea involucrata, like a general Chinese medicine for clearing away heat and toxic materials, is mainly used to treat lung disease, amenorrhea, backache, arthritis, and it is said to have an aphrodisiac effect. Several usages are recommended for reference only: (1) Ingredients: Saussurea involucrata 15g, Lycium barbarum 10g, Carthamus tinctorius 10g, and 2500ml liquor. Method: Seal it in a jar or a big wine bottle and soak it for 15 days. Dosage: once a day in the morning and evening, each time10-20 ml; Efficacy: Indications for rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, scapulohumeral periarthritis and lumbago and leg pain in the elderly. (2) Ingredients: 5 grams of Saussurea involucrata, 4 grams of Lycium barbarum and 2 grams of safflower; Methods: Make tea with boiling water or decoct with boiling water; Dosage: take twice a day; Efficacy: Indications: Irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, low back pain and abdominal cold pain caused by dysmenorrhea. (3) Ingredients: 20g of Saussurea involucrata, 5g of pilose antler, 2g of Cordyceps sinensis, 20g of Lycium barbarum, 0g of safflower10g, proper amount of rock sugar and 2000ml of white wine; Methods: Sealed in a jar or a big wine bottle, soaked for 15 days before drinking; Dosage: once a day in the morning and evening, each time10-20 ml; Efficacy: Indicating sexual dysfunction and impotence caused by kidney deficiency. (4) Ingredients: 5 grams of Saussurea involucrata, 0/0 grams of Lycium barbarum, 30 grams of red dates, and appropriate amount of chicken; Methods: Put the ingredients and chicken in a pot and simmer until cooked, and use it with soup and meat. Efficacy: Indications for stomach cold and stomachache caused by cold and dampness. (7) Ingredients: 6 grams of Saussurea involucrata, 0/0 grams of Lycium barbarum and 3 grams of Angelica sinensis; Methods: Make tea with boiling water or decoct with boiling water; Dosage: once a day; Efficacy: Indications for male impotence and infertility. (8) Ingredients: 6 g of Saussurea involucrata, 5 g of Lycium barbarum 10, 5 g of pilose antler, 3 g of Cordyceps sinensis, black-bone chicken or other appropriate amount of chicken; Method: wash the ingredients, wrap them in gauze, stew them with chicken with slow fire until the meat is rotten and crisp, and add other seasonings according to the usual method; Efficacy: Long-term use can nourish and strengthen the body, moisten the intestines and relax the bowels, and help yang to replenish essence. (9) Ingredients: 2 grams of Saussurea involucrata and 2 grams of safflower; Methods: Make tea with other tea leaves in boiling water.
