August 17, 2020, Ma Kun, Zhang Chuan, Zhang Chuan) Cell Cycle. published an online publication entitled "TGF-β is associated with poor prognosis and promotes osteoporosis progress via PI3K/ Akt pathway activation ",which reveals the new role of TGF-β in the progression of osteosarcoma and the regulation of dryness-related traits, and shows that TGF-β may be valuable as a therapeutic target for osteosarcoma.
However, on March 8, 2022/kloc-0, the article was withdrawn, mainly because the data integrity was in doubt and the author could not provide the original data.
In addition, on February 4th, 20 19/kloc-0, Ma Kun, Zhang Chuan and others from Henan Orthopedic Hospital were in Drug Design, Development and Therapy published a research paper entitled "Cinobufagin Suppresses the Characters of Osteosarcoma Cancer Cells by Inheriting the IL-6-OPN-STAT3 Pathway" online. This study shows that cinobufagin inhibits the viability and tumorigenicity of osteosarcoma cells by blocking the IL-6-OPN-STAT3 signaling pathway. Therefore, cinobufagin may be a promising therapeutic agent for osteosarcoma. On October 27th, 20021year/kloc-0, the article was withdrawn, mainly because there were errors in the article data, and the authors could not provide satisfactory original data to verify their research results.
