When you bake squid in an air fryer, you need to clean the squid you bought first. If you buy squid slices, you need to cut both sides of the squid. If you buy squid whiskers, you need to cut them smaller. Marinate them with salt, cumin powder and chili powder for half an hour. If you want a slightly heavier flavor, you can also add soy sauce, which is more oil intensive. But the squid will taste fresher if seasoned simply.
After preparing the ingredients, set the air fryer to 180 degrees and preheat for five minutes. Coat the frying basket of the air fryer with a layer of oil, then put the squid into the frying basket of the air fryer. Don't put too much at one time when placing them. A little less will allow the squid to heat up more evenly. That's it. You can pull out the center fry basket and turn the squid over. After the squid is cooked, brush it with sweet and spicy sauce or chili sauce, the taste won't be worse than grilled squid bought outside.
Precautions for using an air fryer:
1. Before use, wash the frying basket and wok thoroughly with hot water, detergent and a non-abrasive sponge, then wipe the inside and outside of the air fryer with a damp cloth.
2. Take care to place the Air Fryer on a stable, level and flat surface while plugged into a grounded electrical outlet.
3. The air fryer generally needs to be preheated for 5 minutes. If you put in food without preheating, it will affect the texture of the food and even cause sticking.
4. Some ingredients need to be turned over during cooking to avoid sticking to the pan.
5. Wash the air fryer immediately after each use to avoid the formation of stubborn stains that cannot be cleaned.
