The original time limit of about three years has come, and Dazhao should be "returned to the political power". However, since Dazhao was acting as regent, he was used and dominated by pro-British elements, and he delayed handing over the political power, so the contradiction between the heat shock and Dazhao became increasingly intensified. The living Buddha of Rezhen wrote to the Kuomintang government asking for assistance in arms, property and other aspects. The Kuomintang government instructed its office in Lhasa to secretly support the organization of Rezhen and regain the post of regent. At that time, there was a loud call in Tibetan society for the living Buddha to be regent again, which aroused the fear of pro-British forces headed by Daza, so they carefully planned a "bomb incident" and arrested him with trumped-up charges. After the news of the arrest of the living Buddha of Rezhen reached the Sera Monastery, it aroused the anger of the monks in the monastery. The next day, they occupied the top and mountainside of Wukao in Sera Monastery and opened fire on Zhaxi Barracks. So Gaxia mobilized 3,000 local soldiers to fight with 600 or 700 armed monks in Sera Temple. After several days of confrontation, the monks in Sera Temple were finally bombed and shelled, and Sera Temple was captured.
At that time, the Kuomintang Mongolian and Tibetan Committee learned that the living Buddha was arrested and after the riots in Lhasa, it called the local government of Tibet: "Sera Temple is a Buddhist holy place and cannot be destroyed. It should be resolved peacefully immediately and the details should be reported." After Tibet's local government telegraphed back to the central government: "Because the former regent, Rezhen, attempted to murder the current regent, Dazahutuketu, so he detained several people with important relations, and the Sera Monastery was ignorant of the monks, and echoed Rezhen's opposition to the government. With the unanimous consent of the Tibetan monks' mass meeting, he was severely punished. There was no destruction of the temple. All central officials in Tibet and Chinese businessmen in Tibet should be effectively protected. " These are all false words. The national government also called the local government in Tibet: "We must protect the safety of the living Buddha who vibrates with heat." However, the pro-British elements headed by Da Za, fearing the large-scale armed riots by patriotic forces and eager to get rid of the living Buddha with thermal vibration, ignored the advice of the central authorities and secretly poisoned the living Buddha with thermal vibration in a cell in Sodaba Sibala, Xiaqin corner of Potala Palace on May 7, 1947, and other people connected with thermal vibration were also implicated.
After the news of the murder of the living Buddha in Rezhen Temple reached it, it aroused the indignation of the monks in Rezhen Temple. Five hundred monks armed themselves, killed twenty-four of the twenty-five local soldiers stationed in the Lazhang of Rezhen Temple and escaped one. Gaxia mobilized more than 1,000 local soldiers to surround Rezhen Temple, and fought fiercely for seven days and seven nights. Finally, because of the disparity between the strength of the monks and the local soldiers, the monks were exhausted and surrendered to the local government. Only four people (three servants), led by Quben Yixi Chu Chen, the close companion of the living Buddha of Thermal Vibration, broke through and fled to Xining, Qinghai Province, and reported the cause and situation of the "Thermal Vibration Incident" to Liu Wenhui, then chairman of Xikang Province, requesting assistance. However, Liu Wenhui was bribed by the local government in Tibet and was indifferent to this matter. Rezhen Quben Yixi Chu Chen followed the 18th Army of the People's Liberation Army into Tibet.
After the murder of the Living Buddha of Thermal Vibration, Daza and other pro-British factions, in order to hide people's eyes and ears, set up a so-called "Thermal Vibration Event Exhibition" in Langzixia, Lhasa, where most of the objects and files on display were forged, and many untrue words were mixed in.
Although the fifth Buddha was killed by pro-British elements, his merits of being close to the motherland, maintaining unity, opposing imperialism and governing Tibetan politics have gone down in history, and he will always live in the hearts of Tibetan people.
