There are two kinds of parasites in bamboo rats: ectoparasites and endoparasites. Acari and mites are the main species in vitro, while hookworms are the main species in vivo. These parasites are common parasites of bamboo rats. If infected, deal with it in time. The treatment method is as follows:
First, isolation and disinfection. As there are dozens of bamboo rats, as long as one is found, it needs to be isolated immediately, otherwise it will infect the whole piece and the whole culture area will be infected. Pick out the infected ones, isolate them in one compartment, put disinfectant powder in other compartments, rinse them with water and dry them, then burn a layer with straw, clean up the ashes, put them in the original nest for one day, and then put the healthy bamboo rats in the original nest.
The function of isolation is to prevent cross infection, while disinfection and fire are to kill other parasites left in the nest. In this way, healthy mice will have two days to observe whether they are infected, and when they are put back to their nests, they can judge by experience that they are healthy and not infected with parasites, because if they are infected, bamboo mice will show up within two days.
Second, the treatment of diseased mice. In this link, it is a bit cruel, but it is really the best way. If there is only one or two, most suggestions are to kill them directly and then burn them, so as to ensure that the source of infection is cut off. After all, there are various problems in raising bamboo rats, and it is common to sacrifice some of them.
Like the fever of bamboo rats, it is also common to dissect and find out the reasons, such as the blackening of the liver. Use these to judge how to use drugs and how to adjust the temperature of the feeding house to ensure the survival of other rats.
If the number of infected people is more than five, then most of them are painted all over the body with a "brush" (an insect repellent similar to chalk) and then put aside for observation. If it is in the body, feed a little child's insect repellent (such as Baota sugar) appropriately, and also put it aside for observation.
If neither of these works, in vitro, you can mix the common purple potato leaf hammer juice with water, directly soak the whole rat (be careful not to drown) 10 minutes, and then take it out to dry; And if the infection in the body is not good, it can only be killed.
Because there are many bamboo rats, but they are not systematic, there is no complete treatment plan. Except disinfection is recognized, most other treatments are used for experiments. If you are lucky, it will work. I will record the method myself and promote it as experience. These are all my own experiences.
Of course, you need to wear rubber gloves to prevent you from being bitten. After all, the two big teeth of the bamboo rat can not only chew bamboo, but also bite people.
