River Effect Map of Gan Tang Gate Section of North Canal
The shock has passed, the earth and air are transpiration, and the frozen soil gradually becomes soft. Seize the good time of spring, the blocks of the comprehensive management project of the North Canal (Tongzhou section) have gradually resumed work. According to the plan, next year, the 40-kilometer river course in the sub-center section of the North Canal City will be fully navigable. The shining business card of the sub-center of the city, the Grand Canal, will become a new sightseeing and leisure place for the citizens.
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cooperation in canal management
The comprehensive treatment project of the North Canal (Tongzhou section) starts from Beiguan Gate and ends at the Beijing boundary, with a total length of 40. 18 1 km. Last year, it was 10 on October 3rd, and the Gan Tang Gate (Beiguan Gate) of the North Canal was1/kloc-0. This year's comprehensive management project focuses on the downstream of Tongzhou urban section, that is, more than 20 kilometers from Gan Tang Gate to the junction of Beijing and Hebei.
On March 3, 2020, the reporter went to Niumutun Village at the junction of Beijing and Hebei. Niumutun River Diversion, which flows through the village, is the boundary river between Beijing and Hebei Province, with Xiji Town in Tongzhou District in the west and Xianghe County in Langfang City, Hebei Province in the east. This approach river is also a channel connecting the Chaobai River and the North Canal. The river throws a curved crescent shape, which connects the two major water systems in Beijing and Hebei.
At present, the water level of Niumutun approach river has dropped by more than 1 meter after the regulation and storage in the downstream Hebei Province, and a large area of the river beach is exposed, and several boats are stranded on the river beach. "The main reason for lowering the water level is to facilitate the dredging and river embankment reinforcement of our upstream canal section." Yang Zichao, Chief of Engineering Section of North Canal Management Office, introduced. The canal management involves Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, and the Tongzhou section of the North Canal located in the upstream can not be separated from the cooperation and assistance of Hebei Province and Tianjin City in the downstream. For example, this time, we communicated with Hebei Province for many times, and the other party dropped the Caodian rubber dam downstream, which greatly reduced the upstream water level, thus facilitating the comprehensive management of the upstream river.
Beijing has also fully communicated with Hebei and Tianjin in the construction scheme, technical scheme and landscape design scheme of the comprehensive management of the North Canal to ensure that the canal management is consistent on the whole level.
Expanding the river channel and increasing the lock to ensure navigation
Starting from Niumutun River Diversion, the Tongzhou section of the North Canal is only a few hundred meters back. In the construction section surrounded by the blue enclosure, several excavators are dredging the river, and the construction workers wearing masks are busy in the construction site in an orderly manner.
On the premise of epidemic prevention and control, six or seven blocks of the comprehensive management project of the North Canal (Tongzhou section) have been resumed for the second time. The main content of current construction is river dredging.
Yang Zichao introduced that river dredging on the one hand is to make flood discharge smoother in flood season, and on the other hand is to ensure the water quality after navigation. "A lot of pollutants have been deposited in the river sediment for so many years. It is easy for cruise ships to stir up these pollutants from the bottom of the river." He introduced that after dredging, lush emergent plants will be planted at the bottom of the river to form an underwater forest landscape and purify the water quality.
In the 6th bid section of the project about12km away from the city boundary, the tree cutting along the coast and river dredging are carried out simultaneously. According to the person in charge of the tender section, all these woodlands have gone through the relevant procedures of cutting, and the removal of trees is mainly to widen the river. In this bid section, the channel of the North Canal will be widened from the current 80-90 meters to 180 meters. After the river channel is widened, the water storage capacity will be further increased to ensure the tourist navigation next year.
Considering the large amount of earthwork, the landscape design of bid section 6 is also adapted to local conditions. It is planned to use the excavated earthwork to pile up a short mountain, and then implement landscape greening for the mountain. Preliminary design, this hill covers an area of 585 mu, standing on the viewing platform at the top of the mountain, and the scenery of the North Canal is unobstructed.
Also to prepare for navigation, two new shiplocks will be built in the downstream section of Tongzhou District of the North Canal, namely Gan Tang Shiplock and Yulinzhuang Shiplock. Because of the need to create a water landscape, the water level difference of the 20-kilometer river course to be navigable in the next step is large, and two new locks will be built, so that the cruise ship can smoothly cross the falling water surface. At present, these two shiplocks are in the planning and design stage, and construction is expected to start in the second half of the year.
A picture of natural customs is unfolded along the Yun River.
The Tongzhou urban section of the North Canal, which was opened to traffic last year, left a deep impression on tourists with the landscape of trees on both sides of the 1 1.4 km river, the extension of the forest and the gathering of waterfowl. The landscape design of the downstream section of the urban area being managed is also quite elaborate, and it highlights the interest of nature more.
Yangwa Gate, not far from the city boundary, is the end of the navigation section next year. Here, the river is140m wide, and the blue water surface extends upstream and downstream respectively, which sets off the forest belts on both sides of the river and looks magnificent. There are many gray and white dots jumping on the water. "The gray ones are wild ducks, and the white ones are egrets and seagulls." Wang Yunhai, deputy director of Yangwazha Management Office, said that when the weather is good, hundreds of wild ducks can be seen on the canal, and there are more birds in the autumn migration season.
Not only the number of waterfowl is increasing year by year, but also the aquatic animal population in the canal is gradually growing. "Crucian carp, white stripes, mussels, and snails are particularly numerous." Wang Yunhai said that it is because of some food that waterfowl are willing to come. In recent days, the water level has dropped, and waterfowl can always be seen fishing from the river.
In the section from Gan Tang Gate to Yangwa Gate, which is scheduled to open to traffic next year, such natural wild interest will be everywhere. Along this section of the canal, two scenic spots will be built, namely "Greenway Flower Valley" and "Yanfang Gallery". Among them, the "Greenway Flower Valley" uses Yulinzhuang Gate and Yangwa Gate to form a water surface and build a wetland park integrating flood control, water purification and ecological landscape functions. Yanfang Gallery, through the construction of Yanfang Wetland Park, promotes the development of surrounding large woodlands and forms a natural and elegant landscape belt.
Service facilities such as slow lanes, rest areas, scenic spots and leisure and entertainment areas will also be built along the canal. Using the previous river embankment road and river patrol road, we will build a slow-moving system that integrates the functions of riding and walking, so that tourists can watch and play and stop at the canal.
Navigation project is a part of the comprehensive management project of the North Canal (Tongzhou section), and the whole comprehensive management is expected to be completed in 2022. In the future, the North Canal (Tongzhou section) will form a self-repairing ecological environment, and the river water quality will be effectively purified, gradually forming a river ecosystem with smooth flood discharge, natural coastline, clear water and green shore, and harmonious human and water.
