Liver cancer is so fierce because:
There is generally no pain in the early stage of liver cancer, and as long as the liver with 1/4 is good, it can operate normally, so it is difficult for the body to detect the early stage of liver cancer, and once it is found out, it is often late.
What can be done in daily life to nourish, protect and not hurt the liver and reduce the risk of fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis and even liver cancer?
Some people say that spring is the best time to nourish the liver, and some people are keen on protecting the liver with liver-protecting products. Let's explain these two issues for you first, and then share some suggestions on protecting the liver given by the American Liver Foundation.
In fact, there is no such thing as "nourishing the liver in spring" in modern medicine. This is because the liver has a lot of work to do, besides detoxification, the metabolism of sugar, fat and protein is also indispensable. These activities can be divided into morning, middle and evening or spring, summer, autumn and winter. It can be seen that the liver is a model worker all year round, so it is necessary to nourish the liver well all year round.
In addition, don't be superstitious about eating and nourishing the liver, because the normal operation of the liver requires all kinds of food to provide balanced nutrition support, not just eating and nourishing the liver;
Besides, animal liver is rich in vitamin A, and it is easy to be poisoned if eaten too much. The dietary guidelines for China residents only recommend eating 2-3 times a month, about 25g each time, which also includes the amount of other internal organs, so don't be superstitious about eating liver and nourishing liver.
25 grams of liver is about the size of a palm as thick as a dollar coin, as shown in the picture.
Liver protection products on the market are divided into two categories.
1, drugs
Don't eat liver-protecting drugs indiscriminately without liver disease. After all, drugs are toxic in three ways. If you eat them, you have to rely on the liver to metabolize and detoxify, which will increase the burden on the liver. If you don't protect the liver, you will be in trouble.

2. Health products and dietary supplements
If police tactical unit is printed on the package, it means that it is a health food registered by the State Administration of Market Supervision, and it can be claimed that it has an auxiliary protective effect on chemical liver injury, such as the damage caused by alcohol and drugs to the liver.
However, even if it can be claimed in this way, it may not be able to alleviate the liver injury caused by drinking and taking medicine, because in our country, "only animal experiments show that it is effective" can also be registered as health care products, and the liver-protecting health care foods on the market are basically registered based on the results of animal experiments.
In addition to police tactical unit products, many cross-border dietary supplements also have liver-protecting products, and the most common ingredient in the products is milk thistle. In a certain East, among the six liver protection products that exceeded100000, the ingredients of five products all contained milk thistle.
Can milk thistle really protect the liver?
Milk thistle, also known as Silybum marianum, is a plant originated in Europe. Historically, people did use it to treat hepatobiliary diseases.
However, the National Institutes of Health of the United States summarized the relevant studies and concluded that [1]
At present, the clinical trial results of preventing and treating liver diseases in milk thistle are contradictory.
That is to say, some displays are a little useful, others are useless, and the quality of many studies is also very poor. (The red box translates this passage)
In other words, there is still a lack of high-quality trials to verify the health benefits of milk thistle to the liver.
And before the high-quality evidence comes out, I won't pay for this "may be useful", and I suggest you cover your purse.
However, it is strongly recommended that you follow the following suggestions for liver protection put forward by the American Liver Foundation [2], because these suggestions are supported by high-quality evidence.
1, maintain a healthy weight
This is because obesity increases the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), whether in adults or children.
In 2007, 657 obese children and 603 normal-weight children aged 7- 18 were investigated in Beijing. The results showed that:
The prevalence of NAFLD in obese children (10.2%) was significantly higher than that in normal-weight children (0.2%). [3]
2, a balanced diet
Only when the liver is provided with sufficient nutrition can it work well, and sufficient nutrition must be balanced.
The general principle is to control energy, saturated fatty acids, refined carbohydrate and sugar, and the specific methods are as follows:
The staple food is thick and thin, and whole grains and miscellaneous beans account for the staple food1/3; Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, less red meat, and not too much protein.
Excessive protein hurts the liver because some nitrogen-containing wastes produced by protein metabolism have to be treated by the liver into urea before they can enter the urinary system and be excreted, and the burden on the liver will be great if the protein is eaten more.
Eating enough of the following foods every day is enough to meet the daily needs of high-quality protein. Don't eat too much.
1 egg, 1-2 package of milk, 40-75g of livestock and poultry meat (3-4 rolls of beef rolls with hotpot are about 50g), and 40-75g of aquatic products (about 50g of five shrimps).
3. It is best not to drink alcohol.
Don't believe in "moderate drinking is good for health", "drinking wine beauty beauty" and "drinking before going to bed to promote sleep". Alcohol is not good for health at all.
Female friends are more sensitive to alcohol, and even a small amount of drinking will increase the risk of liver damage.
How much is this small quantity?
Less than12g of alcohol, that is,12ml of red wine100ml, about two mouthfuls for girls, so don't drink if you can.
4. Don't smoke
You think smoking only hurts the lungs? It also hurts the liver.
There are at least 250 known harmful substances in the smoke of tobacco. After inhalation, they all have to be detoxified by the liver. Poor liver, it's really tiring.
5, careful medication
The medicine here contains both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, in addition, tonics and health foods are also taken with caution.
For example, Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, which can be used in health products, has hepatotoxicity, so in 20 14, the State Food and Drug Administration clearly stipulated that the daily dosage of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb in health food should not exceed1.5g, and the daily dosage of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb should not exceed 3g.
6. Vaccinate against hepatitis B.
Our country is a big country of hepatitis B, and hepatitis B virus is mainly transmitted through blood. If our mouth or mouth is accidentally bitten, eating out or kiss may be infected with hepatitis B virus.
So go for a physical examination. If you don't have hepatitis B antibody, get vaccinated quickly. After vaccination, you have to make a definite diagnosis about whether antibodies have been produced.
In addition, in order to avoid the spread of hepatitis B virus through blood, if you tattoo your eyebrows, it is recommended to choose an institution with guaranteed disinfection measures, and don't use personal items such as combs, razors, nail clippers and toothbrushes with others.
summarize
Eating, drinking, smoking, drinking, and using drugs indiscriminately all hurt the liver. Let's eat a balanced diet, don't smoke, drink, and take drugs indiscriminately, vaccinate well, and pay attention to personal hygiene to prevent the virus from spreading through the blood. If it doesn't hurt the liver, it means protecting the liver. Don't expect to eat any products to protect the liver.
Today's interaction: Gossip and doubts about liver injury and liver protection are all talked about.
