Shanghai Ziteng Garden
Jiading Wisteria Garden is located on the riverside of Bole Road in Jiading District, northwest suburb of Shanghai, covering an area of 1. 1 hectare, and was opened to the public in May 1999. It is a cooperative project of friendly exchange between Jiading District and Kazumachi, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Wisteria varieties are collected from the rattan garden of this town and more than 90 cultivated varieties from Hokkaido to Kagoshima, Japan. Its spike length is generally 80 to 140 cm, and the longest is more than 150 cm. The flowers are huge and colorful, including purple, red, pink, goose yellow and white. There are also native tree species such as osmanthus fragrans, Chimonanthus praecox, Ginkgo biloba and Zelkova schneideriana in the park.
