Helps with weight loss
Contrary to popular belief, it is perfectly fine for dieters to eat peanut butter. Although two tablespoons of peanut butter contain 180 to 210 calories, the rich dietary fiber and protein in peanut butter can ward off hunger, enhance satiety, and prevent overeating.
Helps skin health
Peanut butter contains high levels of vitamin B12 and vitamin B2. Scientists at the University of Maryland Medical Center say vitamin B12 helps prevent hyperpigmentation and darkening of the skin, and vitamin B2 helps prevent skin diseases.
Strong Bones
Thirty-two grams (two tablespoons) of peanut butter contains about 320 milligrams of calcium, which helps keep bones strong.
Heart-protective
Scientists at Harvard Medical School say peanut butter has the same amount of saturated and unsaturated fat as olive oil. Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats help lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL, or "bad cholesterol"), which in turn reduces the risk of heart disease.
