Bengbu is pronounced: beng (first tone) bu (fourth tone). Bengbu is a city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province, the first prefecture-level city in Anhui Province to set up a city, with four municipal districts, namely Bengshan District, Yuhui District, Huaishang District and Longzihu District, and three counties, Huaiyuan County, Guzhen County and Wuhe County. During the Republic of China period, the city was once the seat of the Anhui military government and the seat of the Fengyang county government.
Bengbu has a total area of 5,952 square kilometers and a total population of 3,678,100, with mountains and water in its territory and four distinct seasons. It has a long history and splendid culture. History of Bengbu "ancient pearl harvesting place", so it is known as "Pearl City" reputation.
