1, meat
such as beef and lamb pork, pork offal, pork tongue, pork liver, bacon, luncheon meat, tripe, yellow throat, duck intestines, chicken wings, crispy intestines, quail eggs, ham sausage, sausage, liver hooves, bullfrogs and so on.
2, seafood
such as crab meat, fish balls, fresh shellfish, oysters, squid, sea shrimp, cod fillets.
Like meat, there are a variety of seafood that can be put in a hot pot. There are two types of seafood here: fresh seafood and semi-finished seafood like fish balls.
Fish is usually sliced thinly, and because it cooks quickly, it's best to put it in a strainer before putting it in the hot pot. Eat it now.
Shellfish. Such as say shrimp, scallops, crab, oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp is the most common side dish, usually shrimp and shellfish will be cooked together (shrimp head plucked or not). Remember to put shellfish ingredients in a tub of water ahead of time so they can spit out the sand.
Squid and cuttlefish. Use both fresh and dried. It can add a unique fresh flavor to the hot pot soup. If you use fresh squid, make sure you've cleaned it. Dried squid is a little more tricky and needs to be soaked in water for 24 hours before using.
Fish balls and cakes. These ingredients are available in supermarkets, and the fishballs have a nice, smooth texture. You don't need to cook them for too long because the fishballs themselves are already cooked (except for frozen fishballs).
3, vegetables
such as white carrots, carrots, tomatoes, asparagus, lettuce, leeks, potatoes, yams, kelp, lotus root, cucumber, winter melon, lettuce, oatmeal, baby greens, bok choy, spinach, cabbage, cabbage, broccoli, parsley and so on.
Seafood and meat are the main characters of hot pot, but hot pot is incomplete without vegetables. Vegetables can not only relieve fatigue, but also enrich the flavor of the soup. You can add any vegetables to your hotpot, and I prefer ingredients that retain their texture even when cooked for a long time. Leafy vegetables. For example, spinach, lettuce, artemisia, these, as soon as it touches the soup, it's gone, cook for two or three minutes.
This type of vegetables in the clear soup pot will be more delicious, if you eat spicy pot if the leaves will be covered with chili oil, eating will be more spicy, if you like to eat spicy, you can try.
4, mushrooms
such as mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, flat mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, apricot mushrooms, fresh mushrooms, cockle mushrooms, straw mushrooms, tea tree mushrooms and so on.
Bigger mushrooms like shiitake are best cut in half before throwing them into the hot pot, so they take 3-4 minutes to cook. Enoki mushrooms cook quickly, in about 30 seconds or so.
5, soy products
such as soybean sprouts, mung bean sprouts, tofu, dried tofu, soybean skins, old tofu, oil tofu, bean curd, konjac shreds.
