Aconite is poisonous.
The toxic components of Aconite are aconitine, etc. Oral administration of 0.2 mg of aconitine can cause poisoning, with a lethal dose of 3 to 4 mg and a poisonous dose of 15 to 30 gJ in decoction pieces. Aconite is highly toxic and has strong effects, so it is rarely used in clinical practice and most of its processed products are used. Because of the different processing methods and auxiliary materials, it can be divided into black slices, white slices, light slices and pao slices. Since the toxicity of processed aconite is greatly reduced, its clinical use is also relatively widespread.
Aconite is a processed product of the seeds of Aconitum carmichaeliDebx., a plant of the Ranunculaceae family. It is excavated from late June to early August, and the mother roots, fibrous roots and sediment are removed, which is commonly called "mud aconite". After being salted, blanched, boiled, stir-fried and other methods are used to reduce the toxicity, it is called "prepared aconite".
