Xiao Huangqi, born in Taiwan in 1976, is a singer. He was completely blind due to congenital cataracts. He underwent eye surgery at the age of 4 and became amblyopic. At the age of 15, he lost all his vision due to overuse of his eyes. In 1999, Xiao Huangqi won the Top Ten Outstanding Youth Award in Taiwan. In December 2002, he released his first album "You Are My Eyes". In December 2007, he released his personal album "True Love Songs". The entire 12 songs in the album were entirely his own creations. He also composed the music for "Not That Simple" by Taiwanese singer Huang Xiaohu. On June 26, 2010, Xiao Huangqi won the Best Taiwanese Male Singer Award at the 21st Golden Melody Awards.
