1. Choose ripe ironwood fruit. The color of the outer skin of ripe ironwood fruit should be reddish brown, elastic and without signs of breakage or softening.
2. Wash and peel. Rinse the fruit well and use a knife or fingernail to gently press one end of the fruit, then peel off the skin.
3. Remove the core. Iron tree fruit pulp is divided into flesh and core, to remove the core first. You can use your fingernail or a suitable tool at one end of the fruit to gently cut through the skin and then remove the kernel with your fingers or a small spoon.
4. Eat the fleshy part. Put the flesh part of the ironwood fruit into your mouth and chew it slowly.
5. Dispose of the skin and core part in the trash after eating.
