Durian is a tropical fruit. If you find that durian is not ripe after opening the house, you can cook it again. Just close the open room again, and then put it on the balcony and other places with high temperature, or put some fruits that can release ethylene, such as bananas and apples. After 2~3 days of normal storage, durian will become ripe, and the remaining pulp in the house will become soft and sweet.
If durian is not ripe after opening, the pulp exposed to air will not continue to mature, but if durian is not fully opened, the remaining pulp in durian shell that is not exposed to air will continue to mature. Therefore, if you are not sure whether durian is mature, it is recommended to open only one room of pulp. If it is not mature, you can continue to put the remaining pulp until it is mature.
Durian preservation method:
1, wrapped in a shell for preservation.
When peeling durian, be careful not to peel all the pulp at once. You can leave some shells. If you plan to eat the remaining pulp the next day, you can continue to put it in the shell, then wrap it in newspaper and store it in a cool place indoors or in the refrigerator. It is no problem to eat the next day. If you smell sour or alcohol when eating, it proves that it has gone bad and you should not continue eating.
2. Frozen storage
Take out the durian pulp, put it in a fresh-keeping bag or box, and then put it in the refrigerator for freezing. Frozen durian will taste like ice cream.
Make milkshakes
Endless durian pulp can also be mixed with milk, stirred into a milkshake, then refrigerated or frozen in the refrigerator, and eaten the next day. The frozen durian milkshake can be stirred again, which can make the taste of the milkshake more delicate.
4. Chicken soup
Durian that can't be eaten can also be stewed with chicken. Wash the chicken and cut into pieces, then shell the durian pulp and add a proper amount of ginger. After the fire boils, simmer for three hours, and then add some salt to eat.
