Farewell My Concubine is a Peking Opera play written by Qi Rushan and Wu Zhenxiu in192/kloc-0, starring Mei Lanfang and Yang Xiaolou. After many polishing, it has become a classic short play of Mei School. The original name of this drama is Chu-Han Controversy, which is adapted from the Kunqu Opera "Thousand Golden Stories" and "Historical Records and Biography of Xiang Yu". The whole drama has four books. 1922, Mei Lanfang, a master of Peking Opera, and Yang Xiaolou, a master of Chinese opera, collaborated to arrange Farewell My Concubine.
