The bighead fish is distributed in the shallow layer, and only when the temperature is low will it swim to a deeper position. It prefers to eat bait with sour smell, so some fermented bait is more suitable for them. After throwing the rod, it is necessary to adjust the position of the bait in the water and let them rise slowly. In this process, the bighead fish can be attracted and hooked.
Life habits of bighead fish:
The bighead fish is gentle, does not like jumping, and moves slowly. Living in the middle and upper layers of water, it has the habit of river and lake migration, and usually lives in rivers and lakes with a certain velocity. Filter-feeding, mainly eating zooplankton and protozoa such as rotifers, cladocera, copepods (such as cyclops), but also eating some phytoplankton (such as diatoms and cyanobacteria) and artificial feed.
The gill hairs are mainly microorganisms in the water, and sometimes fish, insects and shrimps are swallowed up.
