Yellow wahoo aquaculture techniques aquaculture technology:
Stocking density stocking fry specifications should be neat, in order to avoid killing each other, generally in the standard rough stage, each net box can be stocked with 2,000 tails, after 1-2 months, the stocking density is reduced to 1,000 tails, when the length of the body grows to 3-5 centimeters, the adjusted density of 200-500 tails, in the stage of adult, maintain 8-10 kg /
Under the condition of better environment and higher management level in the sea area, the maximum stocking density can be up to 20 kg/m3.
Yellowfin seabream is a shallow-water warm-water demersal fish.
The temperature range of juvenile fish is narrower than that of adult fish, with the survival temperature ranging from 9.5 to 29℃ and the optimal growth temperature ranging from 17 to 27℃; the lethal low temperature is 8.8℃ and the lethal high temperature is 32℃. Adult fish, on the other hand, can withstand a low temperature of 8 ℃ and a high temperature of 35 ℃.
The salinity range is wide, and it can survive in seawater with salinity between 5° and 43°. The yellowfin snapper can move directly from seawater to freshwater and grows best in semi-saline water.
The yellowfin seabream has a distinct reproductive migration activity, moving from nearshore semi-saline sea areas to deeper areas with higher salinity about 2 months before the onset of spawning, and returning to the nearshore after spawning. The gonads of first-age fish begin to develop, and by the second age they are mature.
In the south of China, inshore spawning temperature of 17 ~ 24 ℃, the optimal temperature of 19 ~ 21 ℃. late October to the following February spawning, spawning period of November to December, January to February, can be seen in the fish fry.
Eggs are floating separated eggs, round, colorless and transparent, with an egg diameter of 0.69 to 0.87 millimeters and an oil ball diameter of 0.22 to 0.23 millimeters.
The young can be hatched after 35 hours at a water temperature of 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
The yellowfin seabream has a wide diet and is not strict on bait requirements, with the youngsters taking animal bait and the adults taking plant bait, mainly benthic diatoms, but also ingesting small crustaceans.
The young fish often eat each other when they are hungry, so special attention should be paid to the artificial nursery, bait feeding must be uniform.
The yellowfin snapper is highly adaptable and grows quickly. In nature, the yellowfin seabream is 16.9 centimeters long and weighs 150 grams at the first age; 21.8 centimeters long and weighs 325 grams at the second age; and 26.2 centimeters long and weighs about 550 grams at the third age.
