1. Excellent water quality
The first thing to keep a turtle is to pay attention to water. It's best to have river water, because turtles have high requirements on water quality and can't be too dirty. If there is no river water, it should be dried in tap water for 2-3 days before being put into culture. Poor water quality will pose a serious threat to the growth of turtles.
2. Quiet environment
Turtle is timid, and some external stimuli will slow it down for a long time. If this happens frequently, it will seriously affect the eating efficiency of soft-shelled turtle. When breeding soft-shelled turtles, it is best to be in a relatively remote place around, with few quiet people and no cars passing by every day to avoid the influence of car horns on soft-shelled turtles. But the sunshine time is long, and the tortoise himself still likes to bask in the sun. So when the sunshine is not very strong, farmers can often see a bunch of turtles floating out of the water.
3. Make sure there is enough dissolved oxygen in the water.
Although soft-shelled turtle requires high water quality, it does not require high dissolved oxygen, because soft-shelled turtle breathes with lungs. But even so, the dissolved oxygen in the water needs to be enough. Do you know why? Because the pond will be mixed with turtle excrement and some leftover bait, if these things can not be decomposed by nutrition, they will pile up at the bottom of the pond. If these things are fermented at high temperature, it will easily lead to the increase of harmful substances in the water body, which will easily lead to the deterioration of the water body and greatly affect the growth of turtles.
