Tuberculosis is a disease caused by a bacterial infection (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). It is not a genetic disease, so it will not be inherited. However, people with a family history of tuberculosis are more likely to be infected.

Also, there are actually some people (not a few) who are carriers of bacteria. However, due to their own immunity, they do not get sick, but they will transmit the bacteria to people with poor constitutions and weak immunity.

Bovine tuberculosis can also be transmitted to humans. (Some mammals also get tuberculosis, and cattle with tuberculosis are also contagious to humans.)
