The four gatehouses of Food Street are ancient buildings of imitation Qing Dynasty, with a height of 24.5m and a width of16m. The roof of the gatehouse is a double-eaved temple-style wooden structure. The wing angles of the eight cornices are identical in appearance, and glazed tile sets, dragons, phoenixes, lions and immortals are installed on the wing angles. Green glazed tile roof with two kissing animals at both ends of the main ridge. On the foreheads, pads and beams under the eaves, there are golden and colorful paintings.

There is an archway plaque on each of the four gatehouses of Food Street, with the words "Zhenyu" in the south, "Xingge" in the west, "Zhongsheng" in the north and "Huaying" in the east. The words of the four gates are linked together as "Revitalizing China". The font of the door plaque is selected from calligraphers Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Ou Yangxun and Zhao Mengfu.

The names of the archways mean "welcoming guests with feathers", "singing and dancing", "drunken saints" and "delicious food". The eight corners of the pavilion eaves echo the four gatehouses from a distance. The building complex is three floors, with a cross tunnel in the middle, and the top of the tunnel is an arc glass roof, which closes the square city and connects it into an organic whole, forming a * * * enjoyment space.

The four aisles are divided into four entrances, and each entrance has a gatehouse, with an arched doorway in the middle. On the doorway, there is a plaque with a width of 1.7 m and a length of 6.2 m, engraved with five Chinese characters "Nanshi Food Street", which is made by splicing the handwriting of Wang Xizhi, a great calligrapher in Jin Dynasty.
