Phoenix City is located in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province.

Fenghuang Ancient City covers an area of ??about 10 square kilometers and is composed of 28 ethnic groups including the Miao, Han, and Tujia ethnic groups. It is a typical ethnic minority inhabited area.

Fenghuang Ancient City was built in the 43rd year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1704), and the ancient city towers of the east gate and north gate are still in place.

On May 25, 2006, Fenghuang Ancient Castle was announced by the State Council as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.

In October 2019, Fenghuang Ancient Town was selected into the first list of "Town Aesthetic Models".

Phoenix Food 1. Phoenix Ginger Candy.

Ginger candy is a specialty of Fenghuang, made by hand and has a history of more than 100 years. It is a traditional snack food in Fenghuang.

2. Miao pickled radish.

Sauerkraut is basically a staple food in urban and rural Phoenix.

The sour taste affects Phoenix's dietary rules, and pickled radish is easy to make.

3. Miao rice tofu.

Rice tofu is a local snack.

It is made by washing and soaking rice, adding water and grinding it into rice slurry, then adding alkali and boiling it, cooling it to form a lump of "tofu".
