Suji ancient town has a very long cultural heritage, including Xiaoshan, Diping Mountain and Emei River. Cliff tombs in the Han Dynasty can be seen everywhere, and there is a kiln site in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. There is an ancient Qing Dynasty building, Nanhua Palace, in the south of the town, and Dongpo Pavilion by the riverside in the west of the town, but now there are only ruins left in the pavilion. It is said that the "deep white clouds" above is Su Dongpo's handwriting.

Suji is also a wonderful place overlooking Emei. The ancient town is beautiful. In ancient times, it was the starting point for Buddhists to worship Emei Mountain. The old houses in the ancient town are patchwork, surrounded by green trees, with quadrangles and patios, some of which have been completely preserved. The white-gray walls, antique blue bricks and dark-gray roofs in the ancient town are combined and decorated with wooden columns, fang and other components, which looks very charming and quaint from a distance.

The aura of the ancient town comes from Emei River, which originated from Emei Mountain and finally merged with Qingyi River and poured into Minjiang River to become a part of the Yangtze River. The red sandstone slab bridge on the river is the symbol of the ancient town. It was built in the Qing Dynasty without a bridge fence, which is also the most beautiful part of the ancient town.

The years have left mottled marks here. The river flows slowly. Take a walk on the bridge and feel the breath of nature. When the sun sets, the river is sparkling and there is a feeling of going home.

The ancient town of Suji is small in scale, with only one old street and an ancient bridge over the water. The streets on both sides of the street are called Guihua Road, which deals in beef and sets up outdoor cafes along the river.
