Legend has it that the British immigrants in Plymouth Colony celebrated Thanksgiving for the first time. This group of Puritans from England arrived in Plymouth, Massachusetts on the Mayflower in 1621.

In the second year, when celebrating the harvest, British immigrants invited Indians to thank God for his kindness, so there was the first Thanksgiving. Legend has it that the first celebration feast lasted for three days, and the pilgrims and Indians shared the delicious food after the harvest.
